Comments about Wearever Brake Shoes - Rear:

The set I replaced were not much thinner than these shoes. They don't have all that much lining on them compared to other vehicles I've worked on.
These brake shoes came with the pin pressed in for the emergency brake lever. That makes one a RIGHT HAND and the other a LEFT HAND so be advised. The new drums did fit over the shoes which were retracted all the way and I was barely able to get the drums over the new brake shoes.
I have no idea how well they will stop the vehicle as I haven't driven it since I've installed them. (waiting for other parts from Advance Auto that were ordered last week). So we'll see how they do.

Have only had these for a week but so far so good. I have purchased parts from this company before with no problems. Brakes feel good, no sound and stop nice and smooth. I will be able to comment on them further after I take my trip.

Comments about Wearever Brake Shoes - Rear:

Perfect replacement size and shape. Braking material on shoes appeared to be good. My only complaint is that the included hardware does not easily install into the holes in the shoes. I actually had to drill and then use a vise to press fit them in before I could install them. However, once they were set up, the rest of the installation went normally, which for rear drum brakes means some cussing getting the darn brake springs reinstalled. Wish I had disc brakes on all four wheels!

I'm glad to assist you! I do not have any way of looking up with specifications. I can only look them up by a vehicle. Since you didn't mention the specific sub-model, it's hard to tell for sure. To give you the correct information, I would need to know your application (including the year, make and model) of the vehicle.

Is there a Break in procedure for Brake shoes( Rear)?

                    A:

Hi Johnny, great question! Make approximately 20 complete stops from 30-mph or 20 “slow downs” from 50-mph to 20-mph with light to moderate pedal pressure. No panic stops. Allow at least 30 seconds between brake applications for the brake pads or shoes to cool down. No high speed stops and/or braking under heavy loads that could result in glazed or otherwise damaged linings. Using these guidelines, the friction materials will have conformed to the surface of the rotors and drums for improved stopping performance. In addition, the thermal conditioning of the friction materials during this process will increase the stability of braking effectiveness over a greater range of temperatures compared to when they were first installed.
