I was a bit worried purchasing this item after reading other reviews, but took a chance. This was a very easy install, just remove old drum as a whole, install new drum (w/bearing pre pressed in) and torque retaining nut to proper spec(173 lbs). That's the best part, you don't need a press to remove bearing and reinstall, it's already done. If you've ever done one of these before, you know what I mean, it's a pain.
With my savings, I replaced brake shoes and wheel cylinders, with money left over and savings in time! No brake fade, bearing noise or wheel wobble so far after a month, so I am pretty satisfied! Oh, make sure you remove the antilock brake ring from old drum and reinstall on new one, it does not come with one. It looks like a wheel seal. take your time removing and you wont damage it!

These are cheap Chinese castings with VERY low quality control standards. 2 sets of bad bearings, one with loose/damaged studs, now another that is not round. Pulsates horribly and has less than 600 miles on it. When they stop replacing them under warranty I'll go buy something better.

Purchased these for a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3, The bearings in the drums have failed on me for a total of 7 times. Advance was easy to deal with and kept replacing these for me, But the bearing would fail within 2-3 weeks. So, Ill be buying another brand from on.

Comments about Wearever Brake Drum - Rear:

Ordered 2 of these drum/bearings. The bearings are pre-pressed. One of the bearings I torqued the wheel nut to spec and the internals broke apart, returned to store and associate tried joking "Don't break it next time." Associate should not make jokes, just sell the product without being sarcastic. They work, nothing special, no extra tools needed besides I used a 29MM Socket, Brake Cleaner, Flathead Screwdriver (Dust cap, tone ring, and for adjusting shoes), a torque wrench, and a breaker bar. This was installed on my 2007 Ford Focus SES 4Door Sedan. For similar installs, if the car is equipped with ABS, DO NOT FORGET to replace/remove the old Tone Ring into these new drums. (Google it if you don't know what a tone ring is).

I bought it because it comes with the axle bearing pre-installed and is a lot cheaper than buying the axle bearing only and installing it in your old hub.The original hubs don't have a seal to keep out moisture and salt but these do.

Because the bearing is installed/included with the drum, all that is required is to take the old one off and replace it with the new.

In the past 18 months I have replaced these drums five (5) times on my 2003 Ford Focus. The bearings are extremely low quality and will only last anywhere from 2-14 months before failing. I only go back because they are covered by a two-year warranty and can be swapped out in 15-20 minutes. If you want something that will last, order a SKF or Timken bearing separately and have it pressed into the drum.

Don't even think of torquing these to spec's, burned up 3 sets. Last time had to get a tow back home and cut short a trip to Long Island for a vacation. Put the last set on, already showing signs of overheating. Time to look for another supplier.

If your car has ABS, then the drum should have sensor ring that is press fit over the drum's inner housing. It can be removed with either a puller or carefully pride out from the old drum and carefully pressed on the new drum. Hope this helps.

You would have heard if you knew that the bearings are pressed into this particular drum. Much better and preferred to get a drum/bearing combo because most warrantees do not cover drum damage from having the bearing pressed by a third party
