I am sure the caliper is fine for a MK3 golf or jetta from 1993 to 1999.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Import:

This is not the right caliper for an 02 Golf and dose not seem to be right for any MK4 VW. The bracket it comes with was incorrect so I put the new caliper on the old bracket and it fit on the car fine, then when I went to put the parking brake cable on it also did not fit. I should of new at this point more would go wrong and it did. I try to make it work anyways to just to find out the brake hose bolt is to big to thread into the new caliper and the brake hose has a square end that is suppose to fit into the caliper which this did not have, nor is the bleeder in the right spot! Now I had to put the old caliper back together and on the car, re-bleed the lines and was back to square one! I went somewhere else and they had the correct part, save your self the time and make sure it is truly the correct part!

This part is a remanufactured VW part that is mislabeled for my 2004 Golf.....The bleeder points downward and the casting isn't machined flat to accept the square end of the brake hose....Wrong part Advance

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Import:

I'm so annoyed with these calipers, the only reason I keep going through this is for the lifetime warranty on them but is it really worth the hassle and time of rebleeding etc and trying to get these to fit and then have issues with refunds and money back etc etc etc...huge headache. If you order both sides the left and right are not the same for 2001 GTI one caliper carrier is curved the other is straight and then the caliper itself is different too, the brake line didnt fit in the drivers side rear one. The pass side rear was fine...what gives.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Import:

I bought one of these to replace an existing caliper. The caliper came assembled, with the single use bolts with locktite on them already screwed into the assembly, there by ruining the thread locker. The caliper was clearly not checked by the factory before being shipped, as the bleeder valve was totally stripped out, and leaked horribly. I had to return it and get a second unit in order to finish the installation correctly. I would not buy this brand again, and would recommend something else.
