This original caliper wasn't bad during pre- inspection of the repairs. problem with original surfaced while repairs were in progress (Last wheel of course).Piston was rusted. I had already replaced one front and one rear caliper along with all four discs. Luckily my local Advance had this in stock and since I already had the defective one off I could get the core charge back immediately. Along with online purchasing discount, it was a great deal. I added the Ceramic pads I had previously purchased and the install went without a hitch. No complaints so far and all on a 1998 Nissan Maxima which was garage kept and clean. I have used parts from Advance for years and they stand behind them. I don't buy the least expensive lines, and have never had a complaint that wasn't addressed in a timely fashion.

nothing special

Rebuilt stock calipers, finish looks good in the box but turns to a nice rusty brown in about a week, really needs cad plating or powder coat.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Import:

Bought online left and right rear calipers. Installed and started to bleed the system when the left caliper started leaking brake fluid from the piston as soon as the fluid got there.

Was in a bind and needed to get the car on the road ASAP, so returned locally for replacement which worked, but now I wonder....how long? The description claims "100% pressure tested" after all.

Also, when called local Advanced, they said they had the part, but once I got there it was wrong part in right box.

A very unpleasant and inconveinant brake job.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Import:

I bought a pair of these to replace my rear seized calipers, and boy these made a difference in stopping distance. They were easy to install, same as the Oem ones and come with all the hardware needed. Best of all it has lifetime warranty, and I know that these rear ones will fail later on in about another 5 years because most older maximas out there are like that. This piece of mind will come in handy down the road.
