    This is my second caliper from Advanced auto for my 1996 Honda Civic Ex. This one was just as easy as the first one. Parts came complete and just as good as the original equipment. The only part the new one didn't have was the rubber cap for the bleeder screw. I just used the cap from the old one no big deal at all. The new one was very well made and just as heavy as the old one. The install went with no problems at all and everything fit as if I bought it from Honda and with the online discount it was very reasonably priced.

      Purchased this to replace a caliper that was sticking. The initial quality seems nice and it was assembled in the box. Has a good heavy feel and mimic's OEM part that I took off. All parts were present in the box to include greased slide pins already installed. The caliper bolts were size 17 instead of 14 mm that OEM was (just the heads). Everything fit perfectly. Got the project done and bled the brakes. So far so good. I am happy with the purchased. Saved big over factory dealer pricing.

      This was a part I threw on my car in hopes of solving a problem, which it didn't. Part appears fine, and I got a great price using a coupon code.

      I think another reviewer covered most of the differences, but this caliper doesn't have the 2 fins that hold the brake hose in the right position. Since I replaced the brake hoses too, I just had to guess where it went so it wouldn't touch my caliper bolts, while allowing me room to loosen them. Also, I can't tighten the banjo bolt as tightly because it will cause the end of the hose to move without the fins to hold it in place.

      This will work in a pinch, but I wish it were exactly the same as the original. My other caliper is aftermarket as well, but comes with the fins.

      I picked up a set of these calipers to replace my older, very high mileage calipers. Before I installed I decided to check the lubrication of the slide pins on the units. The left caliper seemed ok, but one of the pins on the right caliper was stuck. When I got it to move I removed it and found that it had corroded, I assume due to inadequate lubrication. Unfortunately Advance didn't have a replacement in stock, so I ended up using my old bracket until they could order in a new one, after which they agreed to just let me swap out the bad bracket/pins with the new one. I hope I just got unlucky and the next one is pure.

          Like it said, "remanufactured". Used it to replace both calipers on a 98 honda civic ex. Comes with caliper and caliper mount. The part is very similar to OEM version, except for the bleeder screw, two caliper mounting bolts, and copper washers.

          both calipers looks exactly the same, except the bleeder screw threading and height are different. According to the salesperson, "left" is the old style (bleeder screw can be screwed down until the thread cannot be seen), "right" is using the new style (bleeder screw will only go half way, meaning the thread is visible). so when fully tight, they are both at different heights. I took the "old left" style bleeder screw into the "new right" style, it will only go half way. I really prefer the "old left" style, matches the OEM nicely.

          Both set of bolts does not match. "old left" has brass colored bolts with identical head size. However, "new right" has 9.8 and 10 bolts, one is smaller than the other, which makes no sense to me. So I just used my old bolts, it matches, by the way.

          Both come with brass washers, and the metal brake pad mount. Does not come with the plastic cap for the bleeder screws, I used my old ones.

          If I had know there was a difference between the left and right caliper sets, I wouldn't have purchased this. But it's cheap and available for pickup, compared to having to order and wait for delivery.
