Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Domestic:

Advance Auto makes replacing parts easy, but some parts poorly reconditioned as were the internal threads on this part requiring additional work. Plus when you are checking out, you are charged sales tax on the entire purchase which include the core for the caliper. But when you return the core, you are not reimbursed for the sales tax initially charged. A VERY DUBIOUS AND ILLEGAL practice!!

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Domestic:

The new caliper installed great up to when I had to connect the brake line to the caliper. I noticed the bleed port and the connection port were reversed from the old one. even thou it is only a couple of inches different it has put tension on the brake line. It looked like if I would take a left turn it would rip the line. I had to bend the bracket the brake line was attached to to allow enough room for the wheel to turn and not pop the line. not sure if it is a design change or I was given the wrong part?

Good quality, but the brake pad clips are very hard to keep attached when installing. Not a huge deal, just more time consuming.

Fit perfectly on my 08' Town & Country. I did however use all the hardware from my original caliper. The new bolts head were too shallow and wouldn't get good enough grip with the sockets sometimes.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Domestic:

I agree with what Yannick said. Wish I would have read the reviews first. The new brake line bolt is about 1/4" shorter than the original bolt. Using a 1/4" ratchet with an 11mm socket, the bolt stripped out of the casting with minimal force using the above mentioned "smallish" tool. Kind of concerning that you are not able to torque down a bolt properly in a high pressure system such as a brake line. Will have to wait until morning to exchange at a different store. Not happy.

The installation was easy but ran into a problem with the brake line bolt. It was leaking.
I tried different copper rings with the same problem.
I was about to run out of options when I decided to use the old line bolt from the old caliper and bam, no more leak. The original bolt uses a 15mm socket whereas the one provided with this caliper uses a 11mm socket. They look identical otherwise. I'm glad I kept the old bolt.
