Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Domestic:

This looks to be a quality reman caliper. I've now replaced all 4 calipers on my 2005 F250 with these and have been quite happy with the results, and even happier with the deal after coupons.
My only complaint would be that they should be available without the mounting brackets for a lower price..not higher..

      • Q:

I have ordered a brake caliper for my 2005 F-250 4x4 and needed the right rear, so I ordered the SLC831 and the bleeder is on the bottom. I can't bleed the air out of the top of the caliper. Is this the wrong part number for the right rear?

This Fenco Brake Caliper with Mounting Bracket (Part No. SLC831) is an exact rear right side brake caliper for your 2005 Ford F-250 4WD with single rear wheels. It should be front mounted. • Q:

bought caliper slc831 for the right rear of my truck, but the bleeder is on the bottom as the caliper is located on the backside of the rotor (towards the rear of the vehicle). I can not get this wheel to bleed right i believe because of this. tried revering number but this doesnt make sense.

Without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.

        • A:

If they are rear mounted you must reverse the part numbers. Slc381 states it is for the right rear but if they are rear mounted it fits the left side and the Slc380 fits they right rear side.

If calipers are mounted more towards the front or if they are mounted more towards the rear. Basically how they are sitting on the vehicle.
