        • Q:

When changing pads, I used a special tool to get the piston back in place to make room for the new pads, do I need to readjust the piston with the tool before putting the caliper back on?

            A:

Yes, with reference to your inquiry on the Remanufactured Unloaded Caliper with Bracket - part# SLC752, you would need to readjust the piston before putting the caliper back on. However, when it comes to your car's safety, brakes top the list of systems that need monitoring. Hence, I would suggest you to get assistance from a certified mechanic when replacing the brake pads in order to avoid intermittence. For any further assistance, you may also call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
