The original calipers on my 2002 ZX2 had rusted to the point that they would not retract so they burned up my brake pads and destroyed one of my rotors.
Rather than buying all of the replacement pins and rubber parts and trying to rebuild the calipers myself, I bought these rebuilt calipers. These calipers fit perfectly and had the parts that I needed already attached. This made the job so much easier and faster. And with the new bleeder valves, bleeding the brake system was easy without the worry of braking off the rusty bleeder screw.
I should have had the old calipers replace when I had the brake pads replaced 18 months ago.

The first caliper had the wrong size bushing on one of the holes. Called the store and they said they had one but it was on verbal hold but not sold. Told us it would take 4 hours to get one from another store.Manager did release the part on verbal hold.Returned the part to exchange and they at first said I would lose the one line discount. Took the manager to approve after a hassle with counter clerk. We lost over 2 hours of our time returning part and dealing with exchange. The second caliper did assemble Ok.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper - Import:

These comments apply to both right and left front calipers. Grinding of exterior caliper body required for stock wheel clearance. This is due to 1/4" excess in width dimension of caliper as compared to stock equipment.

Comments about Wearever Brake Caliper Unloaded Caliper - Import:

I bought these calipers because the original calipers had been so badly damaged by corrosion that they were leaking and unstable. The Fenco parts fit perfectly in my 1998 Ford Escort and worked better than the original parts.

              • Q:

is the caliper naked or does it come with the pins, bolts, sleeves and rubber boot things ? I ask because the sleeves are seized in my caliper.

                  A:

It does come with a built in sleeves and bushings. However it does not have the small rubber caps on the bleeders. It is a ready to install part and will require only few minutes to complete the installation.
