Product works fine but the only problem I ran into is that this product was a couple inches shorter than the factory one that was on the car. This caused me to have to re-adjust the exhaust in the back forward an inch or two (which wasn't that hard) in order to get it all to fit. Also, I had to buy a exhaust reducer to get the reasonator to the old exhaust system. Finding this piece in the correct size was difficult. I couldn't figure out which one to order on-line so I did an intelligent job in guessying but was un-successful. I had to come back to the store a second time to get the right reducer.

It is a better design than the original

The outlet was 3 inches short from connecting with the original exaust pipe. The problem was solved by using a 2 1/4 in an out exaust pipe adapter and 1 more clamp.

The only improvement would be to make it a true direct fix. It isn't long enough for my 2002 Monte Carlo, but it isn't a major issue to get an extention.

Compared to everyone else's issue with it being too short, I had to cut off an inch and a half for being too long when installing with old pipe. But other than that it was an easy install with minimal issue.

                Comments about Walker Resonator:

Once the old resonator is unbolted from the catalytic converter, the entire exhaust can be lowered to remove the old resonator, test fit the new converter and then weld and reinstall the entire system. The most difficult part was removing the old, rusted bolts. The heads were rounded but a cutting wheel did the trick. After that, providing you have access to a welder, the rest is a breeze. I had read comments prior to purchase that a short extension pipe was required to get a proper fit - not so.

The Q/A and the reviews ALL state things in direct opposition to length of the assembly in the description. How long is it measured from end to end? I'd like someone to actually measure it.

                      A:

No, you cannot replace it with a pipe. Walker resonator welded assemblies combine sophisticated pipe routing and tuning technologies to ensure exceptional flow characteristics and OE-style sound.

The first answer is actually not true. If you want the factory sound, which you will not get by replacing the resonator, you can replace it. You can eliminate it and add a pipe and notice no difference at all. The choice is really up to the individual.
