Q:Is it designed so that I can use the existin oem Catalytic Convertor if I saw the existing pipe off at the appropriate spot. Will the existing pipe slide inside this part?
A:I'm happy to help, Tony! It's definitely possible to install this Walker Exhaust Pipe (Part No. 55356) by slipping the pipe over the existing pipe from your catalytic converter. If you have a welded assembly it's possible that this will butt up to the pipe you have already. You could cut the pipe and use an exhaust pipe expander such as Lisle Part No. LIS32500 or KD Tools Part No. KDT2071 to allow the pipe to fit over your existing pipe from the converter, if needed. You would then need to use a 2-1/4" exhaust clamp, Rol Exhaust Part No. 517214. Rol Exhaust 2.25" Band Clamp (Part No. E22ST) can be utilized if you prefer to butt the pipes together. You could also have them welded. There is a diagram of the exhaust here: http://mastercatalog.walkerexhaust.com/english/ExhaustCouponLargeScreen.asp?img=0883
