Comments about Walker EPA Ultra Direct Fit Converter:

This catalytic converter is sold as a "direct fit" but it isn't. It is 1/2" too short and the welded flanges are about 45 degrees off from the OEM making it necessary to either cut and reweld the cat or the exhaust system. It does not come with either gasket and the rear gasket is not a part Advanced Auto carries. Disappointed in the product and Advanced Auto gladly refunded my money but not the time wasted.

Comments about Walker EPA Ultra Direct Fit Converter:

I bought this 3 years ago it did solve the check engine light P0420 Catalyst efficiency code. After 3 years of use in the northeast climates and road salt it rusted out at the flange and connecting pipes.

So if you live in the northeast go with stainless steel this is alunimized and mild steel.

Comments about Walker EPA Ultra Direct Fit Converter:

Hardest part was getting two bolt heads off of old converter. I used walker exhaust gasket along with the ring that fits into the cat pipe.
Had to heat old oxygen sensor to remove from old cat.10 minutes to install new converter. Runs great no check engine lights. Advance auto parts sales person was most helpful in making sure I had everything I needed.

The installation was very easy and was completed in 30 min. Use the Walker gasket for this converter and not the OEM (metal O-ring)style. I am currently at 150 miles after the replacement and everything is working great, wating to see if MPG improves.

Solved my check engine light problem. Price was unbeatable. The rear flange did not have the much needed recess for the gasket to fit into which holds the gasket on center as the original did. I just centered the gasket as best as I could and tightened the bolts really well. So far so good.
