Comments about Walker EPA Ultra Direct Fit Converter:

2002 Crv in excellent condition with 205k. Now on 4th replacement under warranty. Once a year this thing begins to sound like rocks are bouncing around inside. Within a week it starts to collapse into the piping and clog up. Acceleration dies and air leaks at the gaskets. New out of box Have had more than one that is too long or two short and one that has had the 02 bung really crooked and full of welding trash. So in all i've had 6 go through my hands on this vehicle. They are really poor quality but get you by and hope and pray the warranty will be honored...

Install can be a pain if it's somewhat right but slightly off. Have had to drill out holes and add washers to make minor adjustments.

Once installed there was a gap on the front/engine manifold side of the cat (even with the flange gasket in place). Had to put the OEM converter back on.

O2 SENSOR THREADS WERE NOT CLEANED OUT FROM DEBRIS FROM WELDING. HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE STORE AND HAVE THEM CHASE THE THREADS AND GRIND OUT A LARGE PIECE OF WELD IN ORDER TO INSTALL THE SENSOR. PAST HISTORY WITH WALKER HAS ALWAYS BEEN BEEN GOOD. THE PRICE IS RIGHT BUT THIS PARTICULAR UNIT FELL SHORT IN QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.

          • Q:

What kind of gasket goes between this part and the engine end? I can't find it anywhere.

It looks like a large rubber doughnut with a cone shape on the outside. Will the OEM honda gasket work with it?
