Comments about Wagner ThermoQuiet Semi-Metallic Brake Pads - Rear (4-Pad Set):

Have installed these pads on the front and rear of my ford f350. Were an exact match to OEM. Had no problems and the truck stops just fine. Haven't had them on long enough to get a feel for longevity......The purchase price was on par and the counter guys were very helpful. I drive two lane mountain roads every day . Encounters with wildlife (deer) are pretty common. I have had to "panic" stop once since installing them. They performed great...didn't hit the deer. I did notice that hot break smell right after installing but it went away after a day or 2

With reference to this Wagner ThermoQuiet® Brake Pads - Rear - part# MX1068, the set of triangular clips is to secure the caliper instead of the bolts. The triangular clips can be driven out from the front side using a small chisel and hammer. • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

With reference to your inquiry on Wagner ThermoQuiet® Brake Pads - Rear - Part No. MX1068, Ford often use a set of triangular clips to secure the caliper instead of the bolts used on other vehicles. The triangular clips can be driven out from the front side using a small chisel and hammer. The chisel (not screwdriver) should be placed directly on the metal portion of the triangular clip and driven out from the front facing side to the back. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
