Bought new Wagner Ceramic pads for Toyota 4Runner and Nissan Altima and had them professionally installed. Since their installation, they have screeched on reversing and braking while driving. I have had these same brake pads before and liked their performance, but these new pads on both vehicles have given me nothing but problems with noise. I will be emailing the manufacturer about this problem since I have not had this in several sets of the same brakes prior.

Great pads but not as good as duralast golds. They tend to squeal on occasion.

Nice not to have to deal with shims and their potential to squeal without enough lubrication, etc. Wagner makes a solid product and worth the small premium over the store brand ceramics.

                      A:

Hi Fred, glad to assist you! When replacing the brake pads you will need a tire iron, jack, jack stands, wooden blocks, wrench, c-clamp or vise grip, and brake pad grease.

Wagner ThermoQuiet looks good, just a little confused about what pads to use. 2008 Malibu Classic LS, 3.5L V-6. I see ceramics listed for the front and I see organics listed for the rear. What is the best mix or should they all be the same?

                      A:

Ceramic Brake pads are dust free pads and it is recommended to replace the ceramic pads for both the front and rear. It is always better to replace the brake rotors and brake pads at the same time.

The best way to find out is to call your local dealership and provide them your VIN number. Wagner Thermo Quiets are the pads that I would recommend.
