Comments about Valvoline SynPower 20W-50 Full Synthetic Motor Oil (1 Quart):

I started using it in my 1993 Corvette that I race autocross and high speed events like Roebling Road. It has helped keep the oil pressure up at a very hot idle. I am very happy that Valvoline has chosen to provide this product. Keep up the good work

Comments about Valvoline SynPower 20W-50 Full Synthetic Motor Oil (1 Quart):

Oil is oil generally, but with a synthetic 20w50 available from Valvoline that has on paper specs on par with niche players like Amsoil, Royal Purple, or Redline for the price its hard to beat.

Hi Craig, I'm glad to assist you! This Valvoline Synpower 20W-50 Synthetic Motor Oil #VV945 has 830 parts per million zinc. That is enough to protect a flat tappet engine in normal operating conditions. The addition of zinc additive in not necessary.

why can't this be used for motorcycle oil (SN)

              A:

This Valvoline SynPower 20W-50 Synthetic Motor Oil (1 qt.) - Part No. VV945 is designed for automotive applications and cannot be used for motorcycles as the oil designed for motorcycles has a higher "shear tolerance"...(clings to spinning gears and keeps a coating on meshing gears). And has viscosity stabilizers, and additives to accept and disperse heat much more efficiently than automotive oil.
