How often should I do a oil change with 10w30 snyThetic

With synthetic oil experts state you should change your oil every 5,000 miles. It is best to still change it every 3,000 depending on your driving conditions.

    • Q:

When doing oil changes, Can Synthetic Blend Oil (used to be in car once!) be replaced with Regular Oil or High Milage Oil?

Can they be interchanged often without any problems?
Asked on 1/19/2010 by Pat from New Haven, CT

      1 answer

Synthetic blends have special additives in them that condition the seals, so when you change from synthetic oil or synthetic blend oil to conventional oil, you run the risk of the leaks forming from the gaskets.
