It's GEAR OIL.

It does what it's supposed to. And with the additive (NOT the Tim Leary stuff... Limited Slip Differential Additive) already in it, it saves you a few bucks.

                      • CUSTOMER CARE

                        A:

I'm happy to help, Mick! This Valvoline High-Performance 80W-90 Gear Oil exceeds the GL-3 specification that is required by your 2012 Vespa GTS 300. This gear oil is rated at GL-5. A GL-4 rated gear oil supersedes the GL-3 specifications and will also work for your application. GL-5 rated gear oil can be corrosive to yellow metals. Many of the synthetic GL-5 rated gear oils may not be corrosive to the yellow metal and will have indications in the technical data sheet such as 1A or 1B to indicate that they are safer for yellow metals. For a GL-5 rated oil I recommend speaking to your Vespa dealer or the manufacturer directly to find out if GL-5 will work for your application if you are only able to locate GL-5 gear oil.
