Comments about Valvoline Full Synthetic (CVT) Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid (1 Quart):

I was a bit hesitant to buy this fluid for my nissan. But i decided to try this and i must say i am very impressed. Car drives more smooth with the clean fluid and it is much cheaper than the nissan NS-2 fluid. Highly reccomend.

Comments about Valvoline Full Synthetic (CVT) Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid (1 Quart):

          FYI:
          Check vechicle compatibility!
          Follow recommended & special instructions.
          Contact dealer mechanics for specifics.

CVT total capacity is 7+ quarts, but you cannot drain entire volume, which is typical for all automatic transmissions. Only half to 2/3rds. will drain, therefore you may consider draining/filling twice to get up to a 75% ratio of fresh fluid.

While you're at it, you will want/need to change the front & rear differential gear boxes. Upgrade to a synthetic GL-5/6 75/140 (if in warmer climates). You will really notice a difference in AWD performance & handling.

This CVT fluid is actually noticeably better than the stock Subaru fluid, and at less than half the price!

I changed fluid @ 100k miles, as the manual has no specific recommendation. The dealer will tell you to change at 30-40K miles...
However, my fluid did not appear to be very dirty after 100k of highway & city stop n go in Texas heat & some freezing winters (which is considered severe service)!

I'm happy to help, Lexus RX400h Owner! This Valvoline Full Synthetic (CVT) Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid (Part No. 804751) is not intended for use in vehicles requiring Toyota WS specification fluid. This fluid meets Toyota TC and FE specifications. AdvanceAutoParts.com does not carry a WS specification fluid at this time. I suggest checking with your local Advance Auto Parts or CARQUEST store for OE Transmission Fluid Toyota WS Automatic Transmission Fluid (Part No. 00289-ATFWS) or Beck/Arnley ATF for Type WS (Part No. 252-2006).

Hi Michael! Regrettably, the rear differential of your 1999 Honda CR-V application requires a Honda dealer only fluid. We do not offer an appropriate fluid for this application.

              A:

Hi Migue, I'm glad to assist you! On your 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 there are actually 2 different types of Continuously Variable Transmissions possible. That being said, there are also 2 different types of fluid they can take. If you have RE0F01H transmission this will take our MaxLife Automatic Transmission Fluid #VV324. If this has the other available option of RE0F10A, it will take the Valvoline CVT fluid #804751. If you are unsure about which model you have, you should be able to contact your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and provide them with the VIN number, and one of our Parts Pros can help identify the transmission in your vehicle.
