Comments about Valvoline DOT 3 and 4 Synthetic Brake Fluid (12 oz.):
I bought this brand of brake fluid because I've used it before and I've had good results with no problems. It's available in larger quantities, but I only needed enough for refilling/bleeding the brake fluid in the hydraulic clutch braking system which only used about 1/2 of this small bottle.

I used this brake fluid when I changed out my calipers, pads and rotors on my Ford Explorer.

Comments about Valvoline DOT 3 and 4 Synthetic Brake Fluid (12 oz.):
Most brake fluid, for regular cars/trucks, is the same Dot3. This fluid from Valvoline is rated as Dot4. That means it will work in cars calling for Dot3 but can handle higher temps then the standard Dot3 fluid.
The only con is price. If you need high performance fluid then this will be worth it.
But if you have just a regular car/truck then the Dot3 store brand will be cheaper and do the same job.

If you do not know if the brake fluid in your reservoir is synthetic or not, the recomendation is to bleed out the brake lines and reservoir. To make sure check with a reputable mechanic first.Q:
