I'm happy to help, Jim! The exact fit for your Grand Cherokee is the ToughOne New CV Axle Shaft Assembly - Part No. NCV82505. This is the compatible part compared to the Constant Velocity axles.

They are the same. CV stands for constant velocity.

In my opinion, it is easier to change out the whole shaft.

It can be difficult for the average mechanic to change out. For the best help for changing out this type of axle on your vehicle, I recommend finding a repair manual for your vehicle. This manual should be able to walk you through the replacement of the CV axle for your vehicle.
