I had been buying the regular ICE product for years without the wax and it worked fantastically. I just bought two bottles of this stuff because the regular ICE appears to be no longer available. I hope the wax doesn't erode and fade. I don't know why Turtle Wax apparently has discontinued the regular stuff. I don't know yet if this product has the acrylic polymers. Maybe Turtle wax is trying to make more profit by selling the Shine ICE Lock Sealant product? I am disappointed that I can no longer get the regular ICE.

I wash several cars with varying amounts of soap and ICE always left a white films on all my cars. No one at Turtle Wax would answer the phone or returned may calls to see if it is defective.

It's recommended that latex or nitrile gloves be worn when using dish washing detergent due to the chemicals in the product. These chemicals mimic human hormones and are unhealthy when used often. Hello BeeJay, I will be happy to answer that question for you. The same principle can apply to this item just like dish watching detergent.
