I was surprised with how well it worked. It may take some elbow grease but it works. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong, I skipped the first application of the rubbing compound because of the severity of oxidation on the lenses, the compound would not have made much of a difference. Make sure you USE THE GLOVES when applying the sealer, it is almost like paint and will also need time to dry. It is a little messy from the buffing pads. It's not perfect but it gets the job done surprisingly well. The entire process only took less than an hour.

Read the directions! They say just use the pads if the cream doesnt get all the yellow junk off. The cream helped but it didnt get it all. It says to use the pads next with another cleaner.I used the #1, #2, #3 and #4 pads on one light and it is now a little scratched up looking. I just used the #3 and #4 on the other light and it looks fine. For [$]I think the Turtlewax headlight kit works fine just DO NOT use the #1 and #2 pads, but the #3 and #4 are ok.Another plus is you do not have to use a drill for the pads, just a little elbo-grease!!!

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:

This is a great kit to use. It works! You don't need a drill. Everything is done by hand, and pretty easy. My headlights were not terrible, but they looked pretty dingy, foggy and yellow. This kit really made them look a lot better! I needed to use the sanding pads on mine, I used 1,2,3, and 4. Pretty much followed the directions exactly. Another reviewer stated to skip pads 1 and 2, but in my case there was no way only 3 and 4 would have sufficed. My headlights needed all 4. I highly recommend turning the headlights on when sanding the headlights, as it makes it a lot easier to see the defects.
It did not remove everything and I am sure that NO kit would. If I wanted perfect I would buy new headlights. This got them very good though. No kit will remove pitting in the headlights. I did the headlights and quickly did the fogs and I am pretty happy with how they turned out.
I lost the before pics but have the after!

I used this product to clean my faded headlights so that my vehicle would pass the state safety inspection. It does take a little elbow grease and some hard scrubbing but the results are great. I justed followed the instructions word for word and the Headlights came out nice and clear. I got the vehicle reinspected and it passed no problem! There is even enough in the polisher in the bottle to use it a second time but the sealer is a one time use packet.

I used this on my 2001 Corolla. The headlights weren't too bad, but one was worse than the other and showed a difference in brightness. After using the lens clarifying agent, it looked pretty nice, but I decided to go with the sanding anyway. Only took about 10-15 minutes on each lens, but it looked pretty good in the end. Wish they had more than one lens sealing wipe included in there because you don't use all of the product at once and there's plenty left for other vehicles.

The kit is easy to understand how to use and apply it...

but the pads provided do NOTHING. I went through the kit 4 times on one headlight and I couldn't see any difference from when I started. I even took before and after photos and I could not tell. This kit might be better for smaller jobs but doing an entire headlight is not for this kit. I went with the 3m kit and that worked perfect on the first try. I would not recommend unless you want to do some by-hand detailing or have some really oddly shaped headlamps that canno't be restored with a kit that uses a powerdrill attatchment.

I used this kit for my 2003 G35, and for those who own this particular model, know how ugly the headlamps can get. I was amazed on the outcome, just by using the compound cream. I did not have to use the fine grit sanders to take the yellow oxidation. I have used Mothers Headlamp Restoration kit that was about $28, and I must say I was not as nearly impressed as with the tutlewax restorer kit.

                  • Q:

I purchased the Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer Kist last year and it worked great. However, after more time in the sun and more winter grime last year, the scratches are back and I want to try cleaning it again with fresh Restoration Pads. Can I get replacements for the 3 pads that come in the kit, especially the Level 1 Green pads. Was wondering if you or Turtle Wax sold replacements? The rest of the components have plenty of fluids left.

Also, can you get any more Lens Sealing Wipes?

Seems like they would be light and easy to ship in the mail, rather than purchasing a whole new $20 kit.

                    Any ideas?

                    Thanks
