I was surprised with how well it worked. It may take some elbow grease but it works. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong, I skipped the first application of the rubbing compound because of the severity of oxidation on the lenses, the compound would not have made much of a difference. Make sure you USE THE GLOVES when applying the sealer, it is almost like paint and will also need time to dry. It is a little messy from the buffing pads. It's not perfect but it gets the job done surprisingly well. The entire process only took less than an hour.

Read the directions! They say just use the pads if the cream doesnt get all the yellow junk off. The cream helped but it didnt get it all. It says to use the pads next with another cleaner.I used the #1, #2, #3 and #4 pads on one light and it is now a little scratched up looking. I just used the #3 and #4 on the other light and it looks fine. For [$]I think the Turtlewax headlight kit works fine just DO NOT use the #1 and #2 pads, but the #3 and #4 are ok.Another plus is you do not have to use a drill for the pads, just a little elbo-grease!!!

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:

Very good product but like another reviewer wrote, there should be 2 lens base coat wipes and 2 sealing wipes, one for each headlight. I used the base coat wipe on one headlight but hardly any liquid was left for the 2nd headlight. Then, I used the sealing wipe on that 2nd headlight but again, hardly any liquid for the 1st headlight.

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:

The clarifying compound seems not affect much in removing the haze or oxidation. It was really the grits, especially #1 pad that removes the haze. However, user need to be careful as where to apply this pad, as it will create streaks on good surface of the lens, even after #2, #3, #4 were used then after to fine sanding the surface. The coating wipes worked, looks good. Now let's wait a few months and see.

I have a 2004 HondaCivic which almost went blind in the left headlight and a blurry right. After watching few DIY videos I went ahead and tried this product.
15min into the process I was surprised to see the result, it almost looks brand new you don't need any additional equipment, everything comes in the box.
          Exceptional quality product.

The efficacy of this restoration kit was a pleasant surprise. It worked wonderfully, and it was the cheapest kit at the store. The whole process took about 15 minutes per headlight, and by the end, the lights were glistening like new. I also have a decent amount of both lubricants left for future use. Definitely recommended.

Just bought a 97 Nissan Altima and the oxidation was pretty bad (typical of what you would normally see). I only had to use the compound (never had to use the pads/lubricant). It took all of 5 minutes and the lens were like new.

I wish they had more than just a single sealant wipe. The compound/cream will last at least 6 or 7 applications. Which means the value is through the roof.

                      • Q:

I purchased the Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer Kist last year and it worked great. However, after more time in the sun and more winter grime last year, the scratches are back and I want to try cleaning it again with fresh Restoration Pads. Can I get replacements for the 3 pads that come in the kit, especially the Level 1 Green pads. Was wondering if you or Turtle Wax sold replacements? The rest of the components have plenty of fluids left.

Also, can you get any more Lens Sealing Wipes?

Seems like they would be light and easy to ship in the mail, rather than purchasing a whole new $20 kit.

                        Any ideas?

                        Thanks
