Perfect fit, easy to install, all parts included. Easy job except removing the fan blade, would have been nice to have been forewarned by the store/online/or installation instructions as to how to remove the fan. Turns out a specific tool is needed, causing another trip to borrow the right one to complete the change out.

Comments about ToughOne Water Pump - New:

This is just a good replacement part at a middle of the road price. The threaded fitting on the nose that the fan screws onto is protected from damage and the bolt holes for the pulley line up correctly and without fuss. I believe the gaskets could be improved but I always use Copper Coat Gasket Sealant anyway. It is made of cast iron so getting it lined up and getting a bolt started while keeping the gasket in place is a tedious exercise, but I found that a roll of tape placed on top of the harmonic balancer makes a good spacer. Good luck yall!

I had my first one installed for 363 days, I returned it and got a full refund. It started to leak from the weep hole. I am now on my second one and it has been working fine. Just hope it lasts longer than the first.

Answered on 2/18/2010 by head from n.y.
                  • A:

You don't have to remove the fan clutch, you need a big adjustable wrench or a 1 7/16 open end wrench to remove the big nut on the back of the clutch that holds the fan/clutch assembly on. The belt will slip, so you either need a long rod to brace one of the pulley bolts on, or a pry bar to hold the pulley while you break the big nut loose.
