Used as a stock replacement for leaking factory radiator also replaced the hoses, water pump, fan clutch, and added a 180 degree thermostat at the same time. I read the previous reviews about poor fitment specifically with the lower transmission cooler line attachment and tried it anyway. Did not have any fit issues; everything went together as it should. I did have to use a utility knife to trim a sliver of plastic off the fill neck to allow my new radiator cap to fit, no problem, took about 10 seconds. I would definitely recommend this part as a good stock replacement

So far, this radiator is not leaking, so it's an improvement from what I had before, in that sense. Otherwise, this is the worst aftermarket part that I have installed in a long time. Every once in a while one might come across something that wasn't quite designed or built to OEM tolerances and it can usually be overcome with minimal frustration, but this radiator was a flat-out joke in that regard. The part shouldn't be represented as 'fitting' a Jeep Cherokee if I have to hack off part of the fan shroud bracket to allow the shrouds to fit, drill my own hole in the bracket to mount the trans cooler line brace, and then spend more time 'modifying' the body of the vehicle so that the lower ATF cooler fitting can allow the radiator to sit down in its mount. As it is, the fitting is resting up against the body, which is not ideal. If the fitting was bent either at more of an angle, or closer to the radiator, it would have been fine.

I'll admit that the bracket trimming is not difficult if the radiator is not in the Jeep, but I had already set it in and started to attach hoses, etc. to it, and didn't want to have to remove it, modify it, and then re-install(why should I have to anyways?!!!?).

Bottom line, I had to put a new radiator in a vehicle with which I was already familiar, so I budgeted a couple of hours, max, to get it done and it ended up taking a lot longer because of this garbage, so plan on at least an extra hour, if you're lucky enough to read the warnings on the wall before you plunk down the cash. I did not, and paid for it with my time.

You tricked me this time ReadyRad, but never again.

Cools better than the original Modine

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator:

This radiator replaced an original Modine two row radiator with Visteon plastic tanks on a 1994 Jeep Cherokee sport.

This new radiator cools a lot better than the old radiator. My electric cooling fan rarely comes on now. I think the Ready Rad cools better because it has bigger tubes inside the radiator.

The installation was easy. If you have the air conditioning radiator setting in front of the car radiator, the box includes new braces and nuts that fit better than the original braces on the Ready Rad radiator.

The bottom automatic transmission cooler line on the drivers side has a compression fitting from the Jeep factory. I just squeezed the compression plastic pieces with my fingers, and then pushed in and pulled it right out. Removed the compression fitting from the old radiator, and installed it on the new radiator line. If you have other type of compression fitting, then you will probably have to buy a cheap tool to remove it.

Easy to install for the most part. I guess as easy as you can expect a radiator change to be. You will need a tool to remove the transmission cooling hose (lower one) I clipped the end off a large magic marker cap and was able to insert that into the fitting to detach. Needed to modify the replacement brackets that hold the AC coil in place (trimmed the L brackets a little so they would seat better). Engine runs a little cooler but then again the average outside temperature is 25 degrees right now.

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator:

Seems to be of decent build and some exchange of parts from old radiator is expected like top and bottom plate so condenser could be held on. The big issue for me was the quick disconnect for the lower transmission cooler line didn't fit the brass tube coming out of the new radiator. I measured the tube diameter of the old and new radiator and the new had a bigger dia. This seems to be a problem per Jeep forum. I ended up cutting off the quick disconnect and putting a tube and a couple of clamps to hold it together. so far no leaks.

had to cut body so lower tranny cooler line would fit. also lower tranny cooler line adaptor leaked because the flare was to small and didnt seal on the o ring. I instaled a fatter o ring witch stopped the leak but the line wont tighten completely gana keep an eye on that. The same adaptor would not insert into the quick conect it had to be sanded and forceably put together

This radiator is the OEM replacement, it is formed to be like the one that comes on the car from the factory. People commonly do not take enough loose for the proper installation and will retrofit to save some time. With proper disassemble the part will fit fine. Hope this helps.
