GM made it easy to change radiator on an s-1o. You dont even have to remove the fan. Radiator came with new connections for trans cooler, but not for oil cooler. But doesn't matter, because the new connections are poorly milled anyway. Burrs left on the groove for the ring clip prevent the hose from going in all the way. Used all the connections from my old radiator. But you can't beat the price.

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator:

The best thing about this radiator was that is was reasonably priced, and was in-stock when I needed to get the job done.
The part was an exact fit and fairly easy to install.
As with any radiator installation, careful attention was given to reattaching the oil cooling lines and transmission cooling lines.
I would recommend this part to anyone considering it as a replacement part.
The price was so reasonable when compared to a dealer supplied OEM part and to tell the truth, I can't see any difference between the new part and the original which failed due to a crack in the side tank after 150K miles.
Hopefully I'll get just as many miles with this new radiator.

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator:

I have bought 2 of these in the last 18 months and the oil cooler has leaked on both of them. I don't mean a little drip either, I mean pouring out oil. The first began leaking within the first month and the second after about 6 months. Needless to say I will be returning the 2nd one this weekend and buying another radiator from a competitor.

The radiator I received had a hole in it, dead center in the front. The radiator installed easily enough, but when I filled it, I found the problem. Advanced was nice enough to replace the radiator and the coolant I wasted.

Let this be a lesson, always check it for leaks first. I'll be checking the replacement one to see if it holds water before installing.

I Had the dealership install this radiator 2 weeks ago and it is leaking oil profusely. I took it to the dealer and They said it is defective. Great! now I get to pay to have them do it all over again. Who cares if you have a warranty if all the company has to do is give another radiator. I have to pay to have the job done twice. I had it professionally installed. I didn't do a hack job I had it done at the dealer and paid handsomely too. I can guarantee I will never buy another product made by Tough one. I know the company will never feel the "pinch" by losing my business but perhaps someone else will avoid the headache and hit to the wallet I am taking. Good Luck.

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator:

Fit perfect. Read the U tube installation instructions and they were right on. You have to remove the fan. Not hard used a wrench and a hammer. Really worked great. If you start the lower fitting for the oil cooler first it is easier. You have to shift the radiator slightly to get the one fitting started. My Truck had air conditioning and you need two people, one to hold the hoses out of the way in getting the new radiator in and the old radiator out. Getting the radiator to seat in the lower rubber gromets is not too bad. Easier to put the lower oil fittting on before putting the gromets into place. The other item is watch the air pump hose. It goes inbetween the two oil cooler hoses and if you miss that you can disconnect the hose on the bottom of the air filter/pump and reattach it. The quick tie that hold the air tube to the plastic shroud is almost impossible to get off with out breaking. Added a zip tie after to replace the push in one piece hose holder. Getting the one fitting hooked up was a challenge but we got it.

Sorry, that specification is not available. An approximate answer can be derived using the dimensions of the radiator core listed and converting them into the volume by using the formula Height x Length x Width [15" x 26.25" x 1"] and we arrive at 393.75 cubic inches. If we convert the cubic inches to gallons [1 cubic inch = 0.004329 gallons], we come up with 1.7045 U.S. gallons. If you factor in the fins and that there is not liquid in the total area calculated, and then you adjust for the amount of coolant stored in the tanks, it is probably about 1.35 gallons that the radiator itself holds. The entire coolant system will probably hold about 4-5 gallons which is the norm.
