Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Aire A/C Condenser:

This is a multi pass aluminum unit, it also had the orifice tube and "O" rings. This unit is smaller than the original and has flimsy aluminum tabs to hold in position. I used 3/8" EFI hose over each one to take up the space and support the unit so it fit tight into the rubber mounts. It is almost one inch narrower so you need to tweak all 4 mounts on the vehicle inward slightly. It was a little irritating to have to do this but it was cheap enough to make it worth it and it works fine. I just wish the manufacturer would not make a part that is one size fits none. It is also raw aluminum not black.

I had no trouble installing this even though it was a tight fit unlike the original equip.
Metal construction not as durable as oe. Wont buy this brand again. Other than that the part was fine. It does the job

Comments about ToughOne or Ready-Aire A/C Condenser:

This condenser was very reasonably priced and installation was very easy. it had all the parts I needed for the installation I was expecting I alot less and was pleasantly surprised, very little modification.the modification consisted of moving two of the left side mounts to the right side about an inch but other then that is it was an exact fix.:shipping had a lot to be desired shipping company was very rough with something so delicate! But as far as advance auto parts the transaction was flawless.with this comment coming from a parts tech with 23 years experience and a service writer for 10 years.

              • Q:

I am looking for a parallel flow a/c condenser for R134a on my 1994 1st generation S15 Jimmy 4x4 to replace the OE tube and fin condenser. The one you are showing here, p/n 2312, looks like it fits a 2nd generation Jimmy, which they started making in about 1994 and 1/2. The condenser for the 1993 jimmy, p/n 2302, looks like a drop-in replacement, but it also seems to be the old tube and fin for R12. I need more info than the boilerplate statement 'this A/C Condenser is designed for exact fit, form and function...' provides. I already have an OE tube and fin condenser paired with a severe climate (over 105 degrees) variable orifice tube, but it's not cold enough -- I need a parallel flow condenser to fit my 1st gen truck. Any help?

              • Q:

What is the difference between this model #2312 condensor verses the other models you carry. I purchased this one today and it has to be shipped for a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4x4 Silverado.
I only know that it sits in front of the radiator and mine has a big hole in it due to rust. Just wanted to make sure i got the right one. And what is the difference between c1500 and k1500 suburbans. Thanks

I'm also trying to determine the difference between these two condensers. I can tell you that the C\K denotes 2 wheel drive (C) and 4 wheel drive (K) on these trucks.
