Comments about ToughOne Engine Air Tank Portable:

This tank looked ok when I bought it... although I was a little concerned about the design and operation of the fill valve. As it turns out, I was right to be concerned! Here I am now, only six months later, faced with a leaking fill valve and my only option for help is to pay to ship it back to the manufacturer!

Comments about ToughOne Engine Air Tank Portable:

I bought this air tank during a great online sale. The first tank had a broken plastic valve wheel. AAP took it back no problem and replaced it with a new one. The tank works great and the pressure gauge is a plus and seems fairly accurate. The tank is not as stable as I thought it would be as it only has legs on one side so the belly of the tank rests on the floor meaning that it only has three points of contact so it is a little unstable in use. I use the tank to fill from my VW Touareg on board compressor as extra air storage.

Comments about ToughOne Engine Air Tank Portable:

i bought this online thinking it was a seven gallon air tank, but when i got to the store i come to find out it was a five gallon air tank.but i bought it anyway. now i wish i had'nt because it takes two tank fulls to fill up a truck tire. but it was my favorite color - yellow so i had to buy it.there is another problem with it thats a problem on many air tanks out there for sale today its the on-off valve- the only moving part is plastic. thats the reason i am having to buy this air tank is because the plastic valve broke on my old one!

Comments about ToughOne Engine Air Tank Portable:

For what it is, its a great product. The build quality on it is great. For those complaining about the quality, you have to understand its an air tank, it holds pressurized air. You are not supposed to be beating on it, kicking it or even droppping it. Abuse to the tank can cause it to get damaged and even explode! You carry where it needs to go, you place it on the ground, you fill a tire with air and put it back into its storage location.

I wish the hose was a tad bit longer. I also wish it had a drain valve on the bottom instead of flipping it upside down to remove any water from the tank. But for under $30 you really can't ask for too much.

I removed the factory hose from mine and put on a quick disconnect coupler on the end so I can use a longer hose and other tools such as a ball inflator. I like this option particularly since the kids caninflate their bicylce tires without having to fire up the big air compressor.

My truck had a flat in a parking garage. I was able to fill the flat and get the vehicle to the shop for repair without a tow bill. The tank was easy to fill using my compressor and easy to use on site.
          A real life saver.
