Comments about ToughOne Air Conditioning Compressor with Clutch - New:

This item was for my wife's car so a working air conditioner is fairly important. The compressor failed after a few months of making a very loud whining noise as it ran. This was the best local option for a replacement. Installation was not terribly difficult, but did take a few hours including drier/accumulator, and front and rear expansion valves. A/c is now quiet and functioning about as expected. It's not quite as cold as I'd like it to be when sitting at idle, but in general it works well.

Comments about ToughOne Air Conditioning Compressor with Clutch - New:

This compressor does not fit a 2002 Expedition with a 4.6 engine. You have to get a compressor for a 2001 model to fit.

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
