Comments about ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch:

I have used other compressors from Adavance with bad luck, however, they never gave me any trouble with returns. It looks like they are getting compressors from a new supplier since my last experience. This compressor looked brand new, fit perfectly and worked instantly. Good work!

Comments about ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch:

I had a dull ringing sound under my hood. My mechanic explained that the A/C Compressor needed to be replaced sooner rather than later. I had it installed 5 days ago. The ringing is gone in addition to greater A/C power which was also due to an additional 2lbs of freon that was added. My A/C also had a slightly musty smell unless I used it on Max. Now there is no odor regardless of which A/C option is selected.

Comments about ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch:

The literature that comes with the A/C compressor says to ADD PAG oil, but also says that compressor comes prefilled (don't drain!).
I ended up putting about 6 oz of PAG oil in, and it seems to work fine. (I only replaced the compressor, not the dryer).
If you take the car to the shop for the R32, make sure to tell the tech how much oil you added so they know to give you just R32 (not the R32 with oil).

Otherwise, it was a simple job, 1 bolt to remove the hoses, three mounting bolts, electrical connection, and the belt. (on a 97 Lumina). You do have to get one bolt from underneath the car, and remove and replace the compressor from underneath. I had my grandson do that part.
