Here are the answers to your questions regarding the Tough One AC Compressor with Clutch, part # T58398:

      1. What is the direction of rotation? This swash plate compressor will operate in either CW or CCW direction

      2. Does orientation matter? Most compressors including this one should be mounted within +/- 10 degrees front to back and +/- 45 degrees as viewed from front or rear. Departure from this tends to shorten compressor life.

      3. What is the LP and HP port location/orientation? The suction and discharge ports are mounted on the top and are not supplied with this compressor as they are part of the vehicles hose assembly.

      4. What is the RPM range? Minimum operating speed ~600 RPM maximum sustained speed 6000 RPM with intermittent up to 8000 RPM

      5. What is the PSI range? Operating pressures 30 - 400 PSIG. Continual operating outside this range will shorten the product life.

      6. What is the sensor function? The purpose of the bottom sensor is to disengage the compressor clutch through the AC computer in the event of a compressor lock up. Hence, saving the vehicle serpentine belt and allowing the vehicle to still be driven without air.
