Comments about ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch:

On a 6.0 Power stroke you have to pull the off the passenger tire, The RH side fender splash guard, the fan stator, the shroud, the fan and the radiator. The average guy does not have the tools and equipment necessary to do this job right. You can not properly capture the refrigerant and compressor oil. You need a capture system and a vacuum pump(Critical. With out a vacuum pump the remaining moisture WILL ruin the new compressor. Unless you are properly set up, take your truck to a shop.

Does the A/C compressor come already filled with oil?
If not how much oil is needed? How much refrigerant is needed?

              thanks,

                A:

Yes, G Man, this ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch (Part No. T58152) comes with pre-oiled. However, please drain any oil shipped in compressor used for lubrication during shipping only, and add the proper amount of PAG oil. Oil must be added through the fill bolt of the compressor, when applicable. After everything has been installed, use your hand or a spanner wrench to rotate the clutch 10 to 15 times before you turn the system on. This will clear the system of lubricants. The total system oil capacity for many late model passenger car A/C systems is only about 4 ounces (120 ml). However, when it comes to repair and maintenance it is always recommended referring the vehicle owner's manual for the exact specifications to get better and safer results.

                A:

Hi Jj, this ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch - part# T58152 comes with 2 year replacement with related parts purchase as warranty. Every replacement requires the receiver dryer or accumulator to be replaced. When applicable the orifice tube will need to be replaced or the expansion valve will require inspection and cleaning if necessary, but are not required to be replaced for the warranty to be valid. Failure to flush the system voids the warranty for any labor reimbursement.
