Bought it today to swap summer for winter tires. Read the book, purged the cyl. and it worked fine. Handle was not flimsey, easily picked up Dodge charger SRT8. If it works for a couple years like it did today I'll be happy. I can't believe the negative reviews are for the same jack. It sounds like some do not read instructions. Most web reviews say you cannot get a good jack under $250, so my expectations are not high. However this on has exceeded my expectations so far.

Tags pretty much sum this jack up in a nutshell, don't be mistaken into thinking your getting a good deal. I guess the oil soaked box it came in should have been the first clue, but the real dissapointment didn't settle in until I'd put the handle on it. Tried to lift a geo tracker and the handle felt like it was going to bend in half, not to mention the 400 pumps that were required before the front tires lifted off the ground. The carry handles are nice and it has a overall nice look, are about my only positives.

Comments about TEQ Correct 2.5T Alum/Steel Jack:

If you work in a mechanics garage or use your home garage as a mechanics shop, this isn't for you. This is for the at home mechanic who repairs their own vehicles and who does the occasional major rebuild. If you are going to be using it multiple times a day, invest in a higher quality/business class jack. So this is perfect for 95% of people.

Comments about TEQ Correct 2.5T Alum/Steel Jack:

As mentioned this jack is more like 60 lbs but that is still great for a 2.5T jack. I'm very pleased with the construction and price. Same jack is about $40 more at competitors. Get it while it's on sale. So far I've only used it twice. I'd give it 5 stars if it continues to perform and also knocked a star since it came with low hydraulic jack oil. Instead of adding more oil I had to drain it all out and replace with new (per the instructions). The only thing I don't like about this jack is the rubber plug where you fill and bleed it. I'm not sure how long that is going to hold up before it starts leaking. Great thing about this one also is the 18 inch lift, most others are only 14-15.

Comments about TEQ Correct 2.5T Alum/Steel Jack:

Not sure why the negative ratings. I think the guy with the pumping issue/oil soaked box got a factory defect that lost it's oil? Mine has worked great and I followed the book saying to purge the jack first. It pumps up alot quicker than my old heavy 2 1/2 ton jack did to meet the vehicle frame. I felt the swivel wheels could be a tad bigger but for the price I am satasfied. Also I used to like removing my lifting pad off my old jack to dump rust out of it but this jack seems to have it firmly mounted so now I have to vacuum it clean. Oh well, no biggie

I've had it for less than a year, and the jack is already experiencing issues pumping up. It will not charge the piston to lift the arm when I crank the handle.

Comments about TEQ Correct 2.5T Alum/Steel Jack:

This jack is great for the price. One important aspect about this jack is the lift height is 18"! If you look at the comparable harbor freight floor jack, it only lifts to 14.5" and that isn't enough to lift my small SUV high enough to change a tire. The weight of this jack is about as light as you can find, especially in this price range. The handle is not flimsy and it has long lifts per pump. I honestly don't see why I would pay $100 more for the "next best" jack. If you need a good affordable floor jack, don't hesitate to buy this one.

Hi Hippie! You'll need the 8 mm (5/16"-inch) rubber plug for this jack. Unfortunately, we do not offer them online. However, I'd recommend checking with your local store for availability.
