Comments about Tanner Select Chamois (4 sq. ft.):

I still prefer an old school chamois to dry off my vehicles instead of micro fiber towels.

Comments about Tanner Select Chamois (4 sq. ft.):

I found this chamois online and it was perfect for my needs. My daughter and i are taking a pottery class and we cut some small (1x2") strips from this chamois to use in smoothing the sides of our thrown pots. Worked great, and so big we have enough left to make many more such strips. Ordered and paid for online, then stopped by to pick it up. It was easy.

Comments about Tanner Select Chamois (4 sq. ft.):

The 4.5 sq ft size is perfect for a man; a woman may prefer the smaller size this product comes in because of the effort it takes to wring it out multiple times after the car is washed.

Definitely follow directions about an initial washing of the chamois as it does release the excess tanning oil with a buckskin coloring...you don't want this going onto your car finish.

It easily removes water and streaks...way better than any towel.

I am having trouble using this. I soaked in detergent initially, rinsed and let dry. It keeps bunching up and is slick. Am I doing something wrong?

                A:

I'm happy to help, Dblducex223! The detergent you use is important to make sure that your chamois cloth. It is recommended to use a mild soap and water. Detergents such as laundry detergent, harsh cleaners like bleach or degreasers like even common dish soap can cause problems with your cloth. Washing a chamois with a degreasing soap will strip the natural oils that keep the cloth supple and cause it to breakdown and shed.
