I bought these to replace a burned-out OEM halogen bulb in my 2000 Toyota Celica. The original lasted for 70,000 miles, so I can't complain. If these last as long, I'll be happy. I've read other reviewers' complaints about the short life of these, and other Sylvania bulbs. I can't comment on that because I only installed them a few days ago, but I did notice that these have an advertised life of 270 hours, almost twice the life of the brighter Sylvania halogen bulbs. Because the installation is so difficult in my vehicle (it requires removing the front bumper cover), I'm willing to sacrifice extra brightness for a longer bulb life. I don't want to have to change these things any more frequently than necessary.

Replace both headlights at the same time. First bulb burned out in 6 months, second one, 3 months later. These bulbs didn't have any reviews before I bought them, but most of the people here seem to have the same results. Fast burn out. I would stay away from these.

Comments about Sylvania Halogen Headlight:

The lightbulb works well but is very difficult to install. My neighbor installed since the store says they don't and had a difficult time getting it to fit in place and not touch the bulb so not to blow it but it works great afterwards.

No, take a look at the number of connectors on the bulb, 2 is for a single beam (high or low depending on the bulb). 3 or more connectors usually indicates a dual use (high/low beam) bulb.
