Comments about Sylvania Halogen Headlight:

It's a replacement bulb. It lights up the dark in front of my car as the original did. There is nothing special about it. I chose it because it was at the closest auto parts store and was at an average price.

When I had my Subaru Impreza in for servicing I asked them for a replacement headlight lamp for my other Subaru, a WRX. Oddly, they did not have the lamp on hand, but the service department gave me the exact replacement part number. Logging in to Advance Auto Parts, I easily located the lamp and ordered it, no problem. In an hour I picked it up, brought it home, and replaced the burned out lamp no sweat. A great experience.

          Comments about Sylvania Halogen Headlight:

I have tried the more expensive tinted bulbs and they simply did not last as expected. I have returned to these for all my vehicles. They are the very same bulbs that came with the vehicles when they left the factory. For the budget-concious motorist, these are the best way to go.
They might even leave some extra cash in your budget to get a cleaning/polishing kit for restoring your headlight lenses back to new condition, which would be the best way to brighten up your headlights.

                    A:

That's a great question, Loie! It is a H7 halogen bulb. This type of bulbs has a black tip, a tip that shields some of the light from going directly forwards from the bulb.

                    A:

The headlight bulbs should be replaced in pairs for as firstly, if one bulb has already blown you can expect the other one to go shortly as they have a very similar life span and secondly if you have gone to all the effort of replacing one bulbs you might as well change the other whilst you are there.
