Comments about Sunpro Style Line Mechanical Vacuum/Boost Gauge - Black Dial:
The product is used on a supercharged application. Gauge looks greatm but wouldve like to have an led back light to make it look more modern. Im more about functionality and cost. This satisfies both.

Q:Installing on '02 z-71. How hard will this be. Where does it connect on engine?
A:Hi Bigen, It depends upon the skill level of the person performing the operation. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts. The repair manual part number is 24066.
Q:can this gauge (CP8213) be used on a non-supercharge engine?
A:The Sunpro Style Line Mechanical Vacuum/Boost Gauge - Black Dial (Part No. CP8213) gives high performance with a great racing look and has scale range of 0 to 20 PSI. It comes with a 2-in black face dial with white numbers and a red pointer that adds style and readability to its look. It has 12-volt internal lighting and is designed for negative ground systems. It includes gauge, mounting hardware, and 72-in tubing but requires a hook-up wire. For further assistance regarding the Part No. CP8213, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle. A:Note: on a non-supercharged engine, your gauge will be in the vacuum side of the gauge, unless some thing is seriously wrong. At periods during running, gauge will show near Zero Vac-Boost. If you add an electric blower to your intake tubes, you can get an inexpensive boost unit (a 3" electric inline/intake tube blower is available on ebay, maybe here...,that will boost your intake pressure...without the expense of a supercharger or turbo set up, though, in no way will it provide the performance benefits of REAL turbo or supercharger set ups.. Setting up a variable speed control for the electric fan will take some know-how and engineering. Running the fan at constant full rpm will only be practical on the interstate highways, or in a competition environment. A fan control that adjusts the fan rpm according to throttle position is the most useable set up....and you may need an Auto Electrician to set that up, if you do not have the know-how.) Steve D.
Q:Does this include a mounting bracket?
A:Yes, this kit includes gauge and mounting hardware, Includes 12 Volt internal lighting.
