The Superstat has the added features of a heavier frame, spring and heat motor for more control and longer life. Its unique, patented valve promotes extremely fast flow as the thermostat opens to reduce cycling. This thermostat offers a longer life so you do not have to change the thermostat as often, promotes improved engine efficiency from better temperature control and provides high flow.

      Simple thermostat, removed the old replaced with the new. My car is not overheating, so I guess it works

        if your losing a lot of coolant and theres no leak is it possible that you need to replace the thermostat or replace the radiator?

          It is better to replace the radiator instead of replacing the thermostat.

          check your head gasket

          Check your oil dipstick; if the oil looks like chocolate milk, that's where the coolant is going. May also see white/creamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap. Serious problems, most likely head gasket, also have seen a leaky freeze plug in the head cause this on some makes (Suzuki). Have a good mechanic check it, before throwing parts at it.
