It was great to get this at a great price (on sale). For vehicles that have been sitting or driven seldom it works to clear out the carbs. Good for preventive maintenance too and for winter storage. It can only do so much (it doesn't do miracles)but is my first line of defence against clogged carbs.Helpd FI too.

I just started using Seafoam in my engine oil and noticed a big difference during the initial treatment. I also noticed a significant improvement in gas mileage (74,000 miles on it when i started seafoam) after doing the gas treatment, in my truck since day 1 of my new truck purchase (I've never had better then 17.5 MPG and now I get almost 19 MPG).

The product works well, but the container is horrible. I tried both the small bottles and this large gallon container. The small bottles are just a lot easier to handle. With the large gallon container... I end up spilling 1/2 on the ground or the side of my vehicle and the other 1/2 some how manages to get where it needs to go.

I contacted seafoam and I have been told that they are re-designing the container in 6 months and we should see a new container in stores by the end of 2012.

The container also doesn't have a tamper proof seal on the top, so anyone can spill or steal some of the product in the store (hopefully that will be addressed in the new container design for the end of 2012)?

In short
* Great product
* Poor container

Recomendation:
* Made a difference for me (I would buy seafoam again)
* I would never buy the 1 gallon container, just stick with the small bottles of seafoam.

    Comments about Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (128 fl. oz.):

    This product has no equals. My 2008 5.2L Isuzu Diesel began to stumble while idling. Added Seafoam to the fuel tank. After only half tank, idling was perfect. It is a great anti-gel for diesels as well.
    I also use it to maintain the fuel system in my 2 stroke chain saw, both my vehicles with gasoline engines as well as my snow blower, lawnmowers and portable generators as well as the diesel.
    It seems to neutralize the ill effects of using alcohol/gasoline blends as well as dissolving gums and varnishes associated with the use of any type fuel.
    The only downside is the 1 gallon container. It's nearly impossible to pour without spilling.
    The small bottles, while not as cost effective, allow for better pouring

        Comments about Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (128 fl. oz.):

        I learned about this product from a guy who rebuilt carburetors for 30 years. Since using, My various machines have performed very well. The one thing that really sold me is that it is suitable for use on 2 cycle equipment, many products do not mention this use and the "lawn" equipment need this more than even your car.
        I buy it by the gallon

            Comments about Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (128 fl. oz.):

            I have 3 vehicles that don't get driven often. Seafoam helps keep that nasty ethanol from doing a number on them. It serves as a cleaner and a stabilizer. I add some to the tank periodically, more if I detect any hesitation, hard to start, etc. I keep several old 16 oz. cans and refill from the gallon jug. Much cheaper that way. Works in 2 and 4 stroke engines.

Seems like a great design for Seafoam to sell more product. Buy ONLY if in Plastic container.

                          Hi Poncho, with reference to your inquiry on the Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (128 fl. oz.) - part# SF-128, for two-cycle engines prepare your normal gasoline/oil fuel mix. Add 2 oz. of Seafoam per each gallon of fuel and for four-cycle engines, add 1 oz. of Seafoam per gallon of fuel to the fuel tank. It is best to do this when the fuel tank is nearly empty to ensure you get the proper Seafoam/fuel ratio. The Seafoam will dissolve residue in the fuel lines and carburetor jets.
