  • Q:

In regards to the previous TPI motor question...Can you tell me what type of fitting (with part number) I would need to connect this to the fuel rail? Thanks!

I'm glad to assist, Racerseks! You'll need the Russell Fuel and Oil Gauge Fitting Kits - Part No. 640720 for this Russell Fuel Pressure Gauge - Part No. 650340. This installation kit makes it a snap to connect remote mounted fuel or oil pressure gauges. This kit includes 1/8"-inch NPT block adapter, gauge adapter and one 6 foot -4 hose assembly. But, we do not offer them online. However, I'd recommend checking with your local store for availability.

Hi Mike, glad to assist you! This is universal and is not application specific. You would have to match one by size to what is on the vehicle that can be fabricated into its place.

  • Q:

I am considering picking this up ...and a Spectre fuel pressure gauge (just because it is a way to get a fitting for 16.99....I do not plan on using the Spectre mechanical, low pressure gauge)...anyway...with the Spectre fitting, will this work inline, permanently, under the hood (2.5L K series TBI Dodge Shadow...specs might be 45-60psi)? The fitting is a nylon plastic.
The other option is the Actron Pro fuel pressure tester kit, with a metal inline fitting....although, the Actron set up leaves a Brass inline connector permanently installed, yet the gauge must be removed after each testing session. ????? Will the Spectre inline nylon/plastic connector hold up? Will listed fuel line threaded pipe connector's connect the inline connector and this 100 psi gauge?

I'm happy to help, IXLR8! The Russell fuel pressure gauge will directly screw into any 1/8 NPT female port. You mention that the vehicle is a 2.5L K series throttle body injected Dodge Shadow. The Spectre fuel pressure fitting with gauge is not designed for use with fuel injected vehicles. I did find a Mr. Gasket 'T' Fuel block kit that may allow you to set up your under hood fuel pressure gauge. Mr. Gasket Part No. 1557.

If your truck came with a schrader valve at the injection pump you can just remove the valve inside the schrader and use a hydraulic fitting to go to the Russell Fuel Pressure Gauge, 1 1/2", Liquid-filled, 100 psi - Part No. 650340.
