Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.)

Part No. 100QR Warranty Details
Rislone Engine Treatment is a high-quality penetrating lubrication oil, that combines protective engine additives and unique cleaning additives. Its multi-grade formula allows the oil to flow freely and provides protection over a broad temperature range. Formulated to penetrate into valve seats, bearing surfaces, piston rings and ring grooves, where deposits are likely to form. These deposits are gradually removed and held in suspension until they are trapped in the filter or removed with the next oil change. Rislone Engine Treatment gradually dissolves and removes harmful deposits of varnish, sludge and gum from the internal metal parts without plugging oil passages. These deposits form within engines and can alter tolerances, stick valves and rings, cause noisy valves and lifters, and plug oil screens and passages. Regular use of Rislone Engine Treatment, with oil and filter changes at the proper intervals, will keep such deposits to a minimum. Frees valves and lifters, Helps reduce friction and wear, Maintains oil viscosity

I have always had good luck with Rislone

Rislone mixes well with conventional motor oil and stays suspended. It quieted or eliminated tapping in all my high mileage cars and trucks. I use it with every oil change.

...Added this stuff to the oil and lifters started to knock almost immediately..Oil Pressure went down. Left engine run for awhile at idle to see if conditions would change, they didn't. Drained oil and this stuff out of motor and replaced with straight oil, no lifter knock and oil pressure back to normal..

Comments about Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.):

I have a 2005 Toyota Prius with over 150,000. My car burns oil to where my oil level becomes very low every 2000 miles. I started using this product and now I don't have to worry about adding oil every 2000 miles. I maintain my oil changes every 5000 miles and the oil level is now normal.

Started using Risloe in my 67 mustang back when I bought the car new then. Worked for a Cadillac dealer back then as a parts driver. Every car that came for an oil change received a quart of Risloe. Mechanic highly recommended it then as now.

I started using this additive on my 2001 Ford Escape when it turned over 50k miles. Used it regularly on every oil change. My Escape now has 207k and still running strong. Last year I bought a Chevy Tracker with 170k miles the power and acceleration was low and slow. I changed the oil and drove it 1k miles. Changed the oil again and added Rislone big difference! Yes, price have gone up over the years.

      • Q:

What is the viscosity rating of Rislone Engine Treatment? If I add it to 5W-40 synthetic oil, how will the overall viscosity be altered (assuming a 25 to 30 percent concentration of Rislone in the oil)?
Asked on 10/7/2016 by Wadhamite from Kimball, MI

        1 answer

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Hi Wadhamite, I'm happy to help you! Rislone suggest using in a 20 to 25% ratio, the product is between a 5 & 10W30 and will affect the viscosity very slightly. One bottle of 100QR Rislone Engine Treatment 1 quart (32 oz.) is designed to treat 4 to 6 quarts of oil, this allows you to replace a quart of motor oil at oil change time. You can also use it to "top off" or add to your system between oil changes. Do not overfill. For larger systems, stationary engines and diesel trucks, use at 20% of engine oil capacity. For severely dirty engines, use two quarts of Rislone Engine Treatment and change the oil after 100 miles of driving.

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Good question, Fred! The Rislone Engine Oil Treatment - Part No. 100QR or the concentrated Part No. 4102 Rislone Engine Treatment is a great product, it can help protect and clean. But, I need to know what caused this to happen. Did you have it scanned for any codes that it kicked out? If the oil pump has failed, then this oil treatment can't help with that.

Will it reduce smoke in the exhaust?
Asked on 7/24/2014 by Skull from Chicago, il

        2 answers

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Hi Skull, glad to serve you! This product should reduce the smoke in the exahust as this is a high quality penetrating lubrication oil, combined with protective engine additives and special cleaning agents. Its multi-grade formula allows the oil to flow freely and provides protection over a broader temperature range. Sludge and other harmful deposits within engines can alter tolerances, stick rings, cause noisy valves & lifters, and plug oil passages and screens. The unique Rislone formula is designed to penetrate into valve seats, bearing surfaces, piston rings and ring grooves, where sludge and varnish is likely to form. These deposits are gradually removed and held in suspension until they are trapped in the filter or removed with the next oil change. Regular use of Rislone Engine Treatment, with oil and filter changes at the proper intervals, will keep such deposits to a minimum.

Answered on 7/27/2014 by Steve from AAP
        • A:

Rislone is a good additive, but will NOT reduce smoke in exhaust. Excessive smoke may be a sign of several undesirable engine conditions.

The smoke's color, frequency, or RPM of its occurrence will aid in the determination of its root cause.

Blue smoke is usually a sing of burning oil in the combustion chambers. A whiter smoke may indicate coolant is leaking into the cylinders and burned.

A few simple tests by a qualified mechanic can diagnose the issue and suggest the best avenue of repair.
