Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.)

Part No. 100QR Warranty Details
Rislone Engine Treatment is a high-quality penetrating lubrication oil, that combines protective engine additives and unique cleaning additives. Its multi-grade formula allows the oil to flow freely and provides protection over a broad temperature range. Formulated to penetrate into valve seats, bearing surfaces, piston rings and ring grooves, where deposits are likely to form. These deposits are gradually removed and held in suspension until they are trapped in the filter or removed with the next oil change. Rislone Engine Treatment gradually dissolves and removes harmful deposits of varnish, sludge and gum from the internal metal parts without plugging oil passages. These deposits form within engines and can alter tolerances, stick valves and rings, cause noisy valves and lifters, and plug oil screens and passages. Regular use of Rislone Engine Treatment, with oil and filter changes at the proper intervals, will keep such deposits to a minimum. Product Features: Frees valves and lifters, Helps reduce friction and wear, Maintains oil viscosity

Product Features:
  • Reduces Friction & Wear
  • Quiets Noisy Lifters & Valves

I have always had good luck with Rislone

Rislone mixes well with conventional motor oil and stays suspended. It quieted or eliminated tapping in all my high mileage cars and trucks. I use it with every oil change.

Comments about Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.):

I started using this additive on my 2001 Ford Escape when it turned over 50k miles. Used it regularly on every oil change. My Escape now has 207k and still running strong. Last year I bought a Chevy Tracker with 170k miles the power and acceleration was low and slow. I changed the oil and drove it 1k miles. Changed the oil again and added Rislone big difference! Yes, price have gone up over the years.

Comments about Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.):

Honda Forums say this valve noise in my 97 Civic is normal but start up valve tapping on cold or warm days is not found on my Maxima nor Corolla.

Not sure what is different about Rislone over STP or TFPT engine treatments but Adding this to the engine oil really quiets the engine (maybe clinging properties).

When i bought the car (used) last year I did a valve adjustment job thinking that the 4 of 12 valves that were incorrect, would quiet the tapping but it did not. I normally add 1/2 the bottle (16oz) to the oil during an oil change.

Comments about Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.):

I used it in my 83 Lincoln 302 two lifters knocking removed valve covers and found the lifters not pumping up changed my oil. same thing knock went away but came right back after it warmed up. dumped the oil again, this time used Rislone replaced 0ne quart. no sound wow drove around and it came back again at temp. this really frustrated me. this car sits more then its driven and i didnt want to pull the heads over the winter so i parked it. today was nice so I purchased gaskets and lifter push rods and set my mind to ripping her open. before i did i started it up. no tick no sound. so i went for a drive at highway speeds. for a hour or so trying to get the tick back after all i had $350.00 on my work bench at home. I think that over the winter it desolved the deposites and free my hydrolic lifters. now i am very satisfied with this product.

Comments about Rislone Engine Oil Treatment (32 oz.):

I'm 69 years old and I started using Rislone 53 years ago when I was 16 years old, my father was using Rislone before I was born, its been around a long time. One of the major benefits of Rislone is that it penatrates internal engine parts and helps prevent dry starts, especially in cold weather, it has sort of creeping action keeping internal engine parts lubricated when the vehicle is not running. One of the reasons that the price has incresed over the years is partly due to inflation and of course, more demand for the product as vehicle owners have brcome aware of just how good the product is. It will cost you around $11.00 a quart, but it's worth it.

I have used many different Rislone products over the years, Bars leaks, fuel system treatments etc. The most recent experience was Rislone Oil treatment. I drive a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII with the 4.6 liter 32 valve V8 which had developed a ticking lifter after the engine came up to full operating temp. I added a 16 oz. bottle of Rislone to the crankcase, NO MORE TICKING ! I have put on over 3,000 miles since and still no issue's. I have also noticed a little better performance and a slight increase in fuel mileage. This stuff is worth its weight in gold.

I,ve been using Rislone for more than 10 years. I have high mileage vehicles and at the slightest sound of a noisy/sticking lifter,I put a quart of Rislone in the crankcase and add a quart at every oil change.
The price of the product has gone up considerably in the last few years but for the results I get from it ,it is quite worth the time and money.

Good question, Fred! The Rislone Engine Oil Treatment - Part No. 100QR or the concentrated Part No. 4102 Rislone Engine Treatment is a great product, it can help protect and clean. But, I need to know what caused this to happen. Did you have it scanned for any codes that it kicked out? If the oil pump has failed, then this oil treatment can't help with that.

You can also use it to "top off" or add to your system between oil changes. Do NOT overfill. For larger systems, stationary engines and diesel trucks, use at 20% of engine oil capacity. For severely dirty engines, use two quarts of Rislone Engine Treatment and change the oil after 100 miles of driving.

Hi Skull, glad to serve you! This product should reduce the smoke in the exahust as this is a high quality penetrating lubrication oil, combined with protective engine additives and special cleaning agents. Its multi-grade formula allows the oil to flow freely and provides protection over a broader temperature range. Sludge and other harmful deposits within engines can alter tolerances, stick rings, cause noisy valves & lifters, and plug oil passages and screens. The unique Rislone formula is designed to penetrate into valve seats, bearing surfaces, piston rings and ring grooves, where sludge and varnish is likely to form. These deposits are gradually removed and held in suspension until they are trapped in the filter or removed with the next oil change. Regular use of Rislone Engine Treatment, with oil and filter changes at the proper intervals, will keep such deposits to a minimum.

Rislone is a good additive, but will NOT reduce smoke in exhaust. Excessive smoke may be a sign of several undesirable engine conditions.

The smoke's color, frequency, or RPM of its occurrence will aid in the determination of its root cause.

Blue smoke is usually a sing of burning oil in the combustion chambers. A whiter smoke may indicate coolant is leaking into the cylinders and burned.

A few simple tests by a qualified mechanic can diagnose the issue and suggest the best avenue of repair.

Great question John, this Rislone Engine Oil Treatment will increase oil pressure range upto 20%. For example, it will help in reaching 50-55 psi compared to 35-40 existing psi. The answer to that is perhaps a bit more complicated than you think. This really may need a mechanic’s expertise to determine. However, I have forwarded the technical data sheet to your email address, please check the dosage of Engine Oil Treatment with your vehicle.
