Although I had my doubts about using ramps this lightweight, I'm happy with this product so far. I have two SUVs to support, at 4550 GVWR and 5550 GVWR respectively. These ramps easily support both, without any sign of flexing or instability. I wouldn't recommend them for vehicles much over 6000 pounds, but they'd probably be OK in a pinch.
Looks can be deceiving - these ramps seem to be well-designed. The nesting option saves precious shop/garage space, and the light weight is a welcome change. The supporting structure appears to sport a redundant design, allowing for one section to fail without total collapse. The plastic, while thin, is extremely stiff and deceptively strong. I'm confident they'll each support 2 tons all day.
The lift height is perfect for my S-10 Blazer - oil changes, starter replacement, inspections will be no problem. Looks like they'll accomodate all but the lowest vehicles regarding front-end clearance.
Of course with any ramp this light, slipping is likely to occur. That's the tradeoff. The rubber anti-skid pieces help somewhat, but not that much. However, that's a problem you can mitigate fairly easily by placing rubber mats underneath, or otherwise securing the ramps against something solid. A minor hassle perhaps, but more than offset by the weight and size advantage. The mats do a great job of preventing skids, so I'll simply accept that as a requirement. Beats jacks and jackstands any day.
If they hold up over time, this will be one great bargain. 4 oil changes and they're paid for.

Neg have a 06 impala didn't well with this car removing the oil plug Needs to be a few inches taller. had difficulty getting up the ramp needs a longer approach angle for low cars was hitting part of the air dam on this car. Positive liked the bump stop to keep from off the end of the ramps.light weight, stackable, easy to store. works well on hard dirt surfaces doesn't dig into the ground like some metal ramps do.

Used it for the first time over the weekend on my 08 MINI Cooper S Hatchback and although the under body front bumper deflector was touching the ramps, I still made it easily up the ramps. The ramps feel really solid (obviously the MINI doesn't get close to the weight limit).

Wasn't sure ramps would work with my low clearance car, but works great! I have a Hyundai Elantra that is pretty low to the ground and the ramps work perfectly! Saves time trying to jack up the car for an oil change.

Very nice ramps. Low enough to use with Lexus ES and Odyssey, also use for Hustler ZT. They have very good grip on smooth concrete and didn't' slide when driving onto them. Lighter and easier to carry than my old steel ramps.

Comments about Rhino Gear RhinoRamp MAX:
Worked as expected. Used on concrete driveway. Strong, but understand the load ratings. It says 16000 pounds but that's for the whole vehicle. Since you are only lifting the front or back of the vehicle, that's effectively half (8000 lbs). But that's for two ramps. Each ramp is actually rated for 4000 pounds. Though this is plenty for most vehicles, that should be the number they should advertise. I felt fully comfortable under the car knowing it was not going to go anywhere. They are "relatively" lightweight but have some weight to them when trying to carry both at a time. Overall I am happy with them.

Will these work with my 05 Cadillac CTS? My old steel ramps are too steep.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Great question Regina, I will be happy to help you with that! It all depends on how low your car is. From my experience they will work with vehicles sitting at least 5 inches from the ground and still have clearance. If you are any lower than that, they may not work. They do have a 17 degree incline, so the best option would be to measure the angle from the base of your front tire to the front bumper to see if it is 17 degrees or more.Q:
can i used this ram to change a tandem trailer tire. drive up with the good tire and it would lift the flat one up. Like the "trailer Aid " product sold at rv stores?.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Hi Dreck, I would be glad to assist you. the "trailer aid" is a ram that is a 1 inch clearance and has a low point so the front tire stops. Unlike our ramp which clears more. Its advice not to use the taller Rhino gear ramp due to the fact that it could cause problems due to the higher height .Q:

Great question, JohnK! You are correct, 9" is the height of the Rhino Gear 16000 GVW Ramp (Part No. 11912). Your vehicle's tires will rest 6-1/2" above the ground when using these ramps.Q:
How wide are the ramps?1 answer
