Comments about Rancho RS5000 Shock Absorber:

I replaced MY rear shocks on my truck this past weekend...I drive it Monday and hear a banging sound....after I pull both shocks out and inspect I find one is defective ! something internal is making the banging sound. So I will again remove them and return them for a different make .I will NEVER use Rancho products again !

                  A:

Hi Larry, I'm happy to help you! You'll need the Monroe Specialty Shock Absorbers - Part No. 40038 and 40040 for the front and the rear suspensions respectively if your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Z71 has an electronic suspension. For without electronic suspension, you'll need the Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorbers - Part No. 911501 and 911502 for the front and the rear suspensions respectively.

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

I'm glad to assist, Den! The correct front Rancho RS5000 Series shock for your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado two wheel drive is Part No. RS5263. The correct rear shock is Part No. RS5262.

Rancho indicates that these will only fit the Silverados with front coil springs. They also indicate that these will only fit without the ZX3 ride control package and without Quadrasteer.

All fitment information can be found in the Description tab under the Product Application(s) heading when you vehicle information is entered into the website.
