What’s so great about PureONE oil filters? Purolator PureONE Oil Filters are 99.9% efficient. This means that most all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in its exclusive Micronic media, helping to prevent engine damage. Each also comes equipped with a silicone anti-drainback valve that helps to protect against engine dry-start. Put away those filter wrenches because all PureONE oil filters feature specially textured paint that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing it. So no matter at what angle you find yourself, you’ll have a firm, textured grip. To top it off, the filter’s PTFE-treated sealing gasket also makes for easy installation and removal. Purolator PureONE oil filters should be replaced every 3,000 miles or three months depending on the driving conditions, or as specified by your vehicle's manufacturer.

Product Features:
  • 99.9% of all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in the media.
  • Micronic media traps microscopic contaminants
  • 100% covered in textured grip control that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing the filter.
  • PTFE treated sealing gasket for ease of installation and removal
  • Silicone anti-drainback valve lasts longer for extended protection against engine dry start

Purolator PureOne products are certainly among the best you can use to protect your engine. The published stats of any filter element are helpful; however, long-term use results are the best indicator of a filter's performance. I have been using Purolator Pure-One oil filters for at least twelve years now and the results are outstanding. Vehicles ranging in mileage from 105,000 to 185,000 miles on the odometer have maintained the same miles per gallon (MPG) from the time they were purchased new through the date I sold them. All of the engines maintained the same performance characteristics (horsepower and torque) as the day when I drove them off the dealer's lot. (Note - oil changed 3,000 miles if conventional, 5,000 miles if synthetic). Purolator Classic air filters were used until the PureOne air filters were recently released. It is obvious to me that the combination of Purolator oil and air filters combined with the above oil change intervals have kept my engines in factory new condition up to the 185,000 miles of my use prior to selling them (note: vehicles were sold to satisfy changing needs - all were in top mechanical condition and could easily continue to perform as stated for many more miles). I buy vehicles expecting to own them for 250,000 to 300,000 miles running in top condition with no major engine work necessary (excluding timing belts and water pumps) and am absolutely confident that Purolator PureOne oil and air filters will allow me to achieve that goal.

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

This filter was easy to install and included all the o-rings that one would need. I only wished the drain plug crush washer was included like the OEM include.

Advance Auto, update your information on this part. This isn't a fit for a Toyota RAV4, but your site calls it an exact fit. Like another commenter pointed out, it just doesn't work with this car's filter housing.
