What’s so great about PureONE oil filters? Purolator PureONE Oil Filters are 99.9% efficient. This means that most all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in its exclusive Micronic media, helping to prevent engine damage. Each also comes equipped with a silicone anti-drainback valve that helps to protect against engine dry-start. Put away those filter wrenches because all PureONE oil filters feature specially textured paint that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing it. So no matter at what angle you find yourself, you’ll have a firm, textured grip. To top it off, the filter’s PTFE-treated sealing gasket also makes for easy installation and removal. Purolator PureONE oil filters should be replaced every 3,000 miles or three months depending on the driving conditions, or as specified by your vehicle's manufacturer.

Product Features:
  • 99.9% of all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in the media.
  • Micronic media traps microscopic contaminants
  • 100% covered in textured grip control that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing the filter.
  • PTFE treated sealing gasket for ease of installation and removal
  • Silicone anti-drainback valve lasts longer for extended protection against engine dry start

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

I use this model because it is larger than the OE therefore more capacity and filtration. I read and read on filters and found Pure One has the best and most filter media for the price by far!

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

This is the first Purolator PureOne filter that I have purchased for our 2005 Chevy Venture.I have one of these on my Chevy K1500 and it is working just fine. I was using the MOBIL 1 extended use filter but decided to install the PureOne this go around. The oil is still clean after a month of driving. I am very pleased with the performance AND quality of this product and highly recommend it to others.

This filter is a first-time purchase for use on my K1500 Chevy pickup. Will have to wait and see how well it performs here in the near future.I have used Purolator PureOne filters on my Camaro in the past with no problems whatsoever. Great brand with dependable performance.

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

I'm no expert, and always just got whatever filter came with the oil change special. After using Purolator's cheap filter, and K&N's filter that you tighten with a wrench, I got a PureOne. Installation and removal was INSANELY easy, and the filter lasted 12 months, 3000 miles. Will never use a slippery filter w/ a plastic shell ever again.

This filter is rated as one of the best along with Mobil 1/K & N. Much lower in price than the other two.Purolater is a leading maker of filters and this is their top of the line filter.

                        A:

I'm happy to help, Jerry! The filter media of this Purolator PureONE Oil Filter (Part No. PL24011) is cellulose. I spoke with Purolator and they do not have the flow rate data available for this product.

what is the difference between this filter and the opurolator classic filter besides the price

                      • A:

The pure 1 vs classic after a new tear down appears to have same type medium paper, however the pure 1 typical 10111 filter has significantly more filter surface area ( 68 vs 50 pleats) and improved rubber sealing gasket and drain back valve material resulting in improved sealing, less restriction to oil flow due to larger filter surface area, slight improvement in efficiency, and ability to hold more contaminates .. In my opinion..

PureONE Oil Filters have up to a 99.9% filtering efficiency and the Purolator Classic filters have up to a 97.5% filtering efficiency.
