What’s so great about PureONE oil filters? Purolator PureONE Oil Filters are 99.9% efficient. This means that most all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in its exclusive Micronic media, helping to prevent engine damage. Each also comes equipped with a silicone anti-drainback valve that helps to protect against engine dry-start. Put away those filter wrenches because all PureONE oil filters feature specially textured paint that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing it. So no matter at what angle you find yourself, you’ll have a firm, textured grip. To top it off, the filter’s PTFE-treated sealing gasket also makes for easy installation and removal. Purolator PureONE oil filters should be replaced every 3,000 miles or three months depending on the driving conditions, or as specified by your vehicle's manufacturer.

Product Features:
  • 99.9% of all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in the media.
  • Micronic media traps microscopic contaminants
  • 100% covered in textured grip control that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing the filter.
  • PTFE treated sealing gasket for ease of installation and removal
  • Silicone anti-drainback valve lasts longer for extended protection against engine dry start

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

I like these filters for the price. I tend to run these on the daily drivers I work hard (Truck, van) which I make sure get oil changes every 3500/3mos. On collector cars that sit I would advise to use the high end filters as they will last longer in time as they are made of much better materials. As an example, I have three F bodys a third, fourth, and fifth Generation, none of which get more than 1500 miles per year. So, If I use a highest end filter I can be confident about leaving full synthetic with that filter for 12 months. The LS3 takes 9 quarts of full Synthetic...

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

Oil coming out of vehicle with this filter on is clean and looks like it would still be good for thousands of miles more. Test show they work great. A good filter is as important as the oil going into the vehicle if not more so.

                  • Q:

I have a 2007 GMC 6.2L V8 engine; I have been using AC Delco PF48 filters in the past until the recent oil change where I switched to PureOne PL12222 filter for all the great reviews I have read. However, I also read a number of posts from people with PureOne filters due to the high efficiency (99.9%) becomes more restrictive to oil flow; I am beginning to wonder if I should get rid of the PureOne and back to AC Delco or other brands?? Please help and advise - Thanks!

                      A:

I'm happy to help, Rick! I understand your concern in finding the best oil filter for your 2007 GMC 6.2L V8. Purolator is a highly recognized brand for quality manufacturing. Your oil filter contains a bypass valve to prevent your engine from starving for oil due to a restricted oil filter. There are many reviews and tests of oil filters available on the internet that I have read in search of the best filter for my needs. A web search for oil filter test will provide a large amount of information. The information provided is use at your own risk. Either filter is a great choice for your vehicle.
