What’s so great about PureONE oil filters? Purolator PureONE Oil Filters are 99.9% efficient. This means that most all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in its exclusive Micronic media, helping to prevent engine damage. Each also comes equipped with a silicone anti-drainback valve that helps to protect against engine dry-start. Put away those filter wrenches because all PureONE oil filters feature specially textured paint that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing it. So no matter at what angle you find yourself, you’ll have a firm, textured grip. To top it off, the filter’s PTFE-treated sealing gasket also makes for easy installation and removal. Purolator PureONE oil filters should be replaced every 3,000 miles or three months depending on the driving conditions, or as specified by your vehicle's manufacturer.

Product Features:
  • 99.9% of all contaminants that pass through a PureONE oil filter are captured in the media.
  • Micronic media traps microscopic contaminants
  • 100% covered in textured grip control that helps keep the filter from slipping when you’re installing or removing the filter.
  • PTFE treated sealing gasket for ease of installation and removal
  • Silicone anti-drainback valve lasts longer for extended protection against engine dry start

DO your own research about Puralator PureOne filter and you will find that a lot of enthusiasts and even some engineers and labs have cut this thing open and tested it extensively and it has been rated even better than many original dealership manufacturer filters. For the price it can't be beaten. I keep mine on for 7500 mile oil changes with Mobil1 Synthetic oil and they never break down in quality or fail. Try at and then cut open the can around the filter after 5000 miles or more and see what the inside will look like. You'll be very happy.

I bought this filter for my 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and unfortunately the size was incompatible. I bought the recommended size, but it was too large to fit. The texture of the filter made it much easier to hold while I tried to install it, so if it had fit, I would have given it a much higher rating.

    Best filter on the market

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

I personally change my oil every three thousand miles on two cars . On both cars I only use the puralator one filter!
Some of the local shop offer oil changes and tire rotation for about twenty dollars and up. I've tried these services on a couple of occasions. The filters used by these local shops apparently are of lesser quality. With that said I'll continue doing my own oil change utilizing puralator one filters.

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

I use PureOne's in my Accord, my Kohler mower engine and my Suzuki motorcycle (after installing the aftermarket adapter that you can find by using a web search). At the same site you will find a tech paper comparing many common filters. Don't be intimidated by the length of the review. It is worth the read. The PureOne is at the top of the list.

The textured exterior make them easy to hand tighten, and on the Kohler, I was able to unscrew the old one without using a special filter wrench.

I've been using PureOne filters for years, always had outstanding results. Oil still fairly clean even after 3,000 miles. When I was a mechanic we cut a bunch of different brand filters open and this one has the best looking internals of them all.

This Purolator's PureONE Oil Filter is one of the top-ranked oil filter on the shelf. It peforms among the best in the business without leaks and breakdown. This filter provides maximum protection against harmful contaminants getting into your engine, and costs a little less than a Purolator PureONE oil filter. Assuming all the stuff about how awesome it cleans the oil is true, it's a great filter. I trust that it's worth the extra $1-2. The grippy coating does make it easier to remove. I don't exactly send out my oil to test its performance, but I'd rather pay a bit more to make sure that my car lasts longer. Always have a good deal on these with the high mileage oil.

With so many oil filters on the market, there is only one name I will use in my vehicles. That's PUROLATOR. After all they were the first oil filter in it's current form. Established in 1923 and over 90 years in the automotive industry. Reputation is everything and the only thing that matters to me in my car! You may spend more on another brand, but are you actually getting the best filter protection your engine deserves? Purolator filters give that protection!

Comments about Purolator PureONE Oil Filter:

Purolator filters have more surface area than many other brand name filters thus providing better filtration. I always cut the old filter open to check for metal and it does not take long to see the difference between brands.

Will this PurOne (pl10241) work on my Kohler motor model # SV730?
The reason I asked is a service tech at a Cub Cadet shop told me
to use only orig Kohler#2505022-s1 because it took too much pressure to get the oil through the PurOne due to heavy filtering--meaning smaller microns. Of course they did not handle the PurOne so it sounded kinda fishy to me. Just thought I would check to be sure.

This Purolator PureONE Oil Filter (Part No. PL10241) is designed for use on 1986-2000 Chevrolet Metro, Sprint and Tracker with 1.0L L3, 1.3L and 1.6L L4 engines as well as 1994-1995 Alfa Romeo 164 3.0L V6 and 1992-1993 Asuna Sunrunner 1.6L. The Kohler Part No. 2505022-S1 came up as a fuel filter when I searched.

I have found that the Driveworks Oil Filter for Briggs & Stratton and Kohler Engines (Part No. DW-765) fits 14-26 HP Kohler Magnum engines and replaces Kohler #52-050-02. If you need a fuel filter replacement, we carry Driveworks 1/4" Fuel Filter (Part No. DW-761). Your owner's manual (here: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinecatalog/pdf/32_590_06.pdf) and service manual (here: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinecatalog/pdf/32_690_01_EN.pdf) will recommend that you go to your authorized Kohler dealer for all service and replacement parts.
