Comments about Purolator Panel Type Cabin Air Filter:

Easy job even for those who know nothing about cars. You don't have to be a mechanic to do this simple task. Just lower the glovebox all the way down and unclip the filter cover, then just pull the old filter out and install the new one, just watch the air flow arrows because the filters efficiency will be diminished if installed backwards. There are some great you tube videos on just how to do this procedure I bought my filter on sale and also had a $10 off $25 coupon from the internet. Always check the internet because Advanced Auto Parts is always having sales and discount coupons.

A dealer charges $65-70 for a cabin filter replacement. At Advance Auto a filter costs about $18 and can be replaced with no tools in about 5 minutes, at the most, by anyone with average skills. A real no brainer!

It worked, but I had to cut some of the corners for it to fit the compartment. Wasn't a big deal just disappointed when you try to install it and realize you need to adjust something for it to work. works fine now.

Replacement for my 2006 Honda Ody. After a service visit tommy local Honda dealer, an enthusiastic young man brought the need to change the filter to my attention, showing me the dirty filter he had removed. After finding out what that would cost to have it done by Honda Tech, I quickly jumped on to my Advance Auto online account and purchased the filter. Once my van was pulled around my next stop was my Advance Auto store where my filter was waiting for my arrival. Filter install went fine and I am breathing easier.....Great on line site

This cabin air filter is ok at best. Not in any shape, form, or fashion up to the quality of the OEM filter. Was flimsy and did not fit "exact", but did go in the tray. However it did not fill the tray properly and the sides wanted to curve inwards. "Was" priced in store. 2010 Accord LX.

                            A:

Hi Tony, my answer to your question on the Purolator Panel Type Cabin Air Filter -part# C35519 is that for accessing the cabin air filter on your ChevyEquinox open and empty glove box. Find stopper tab at the top(It is used to stop the glove box when fully open). Push it up and out of the way so the glove box can open to its full extent. Behind the bottom of the glove box door is a hinge the glove box uses to swivel forwards and backwards. With glove box open to its full extent, you just have to lift it off of the hinge. May require a little wiggling. After the glove box is removed you will be able to see a black plastic cover with a round shape. Above is a rectangular door with two tabs keeping it shut. Both tabs need to be pushed up so the door can swing up, giving you access to the filter.

There are two cabin filters side by side. Do you need to buy a quantity of two or does the part number cover a pair of filters? Obviously, no one would ever changeout only one of the two filters. So, it would make sense to sell them in pairs, like brake pads.
