Check Vehicle Fit

Dirt and even rust can enter the fuel stream at any point along the long journey from refinery to your vehicle’s fuel tank. So, your fuel filter becomes the final line of defense against damaging contaminants getting into your vehicle. Clean fuel, free from dirt particles and rust, is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of your vehicle. A tiny grain of dirt can clog injectors, leading to erratic performance and poor gas mileage. Clean fuel increases gas mileage and improves engine performance - and with the fluctuating cost of gas these days, that’s really important!

Product Features:
  • Defense against damaging contaminants
  • Helps increase gas mileage
  • Improves engine performance

    Comments about Purolator Fuel Filter:

In spite of the computer saying it was an exact fit - be aware that 2002 Ford E-350 Econoline 5.4 FI fits a smaller diameter fuel filter with the press fit attachments. From the picture you can't quite tell that this little puppy is NOT an exact fit. In store you'll recognize the proper filter (follow Motorcraft part number). I'm sure that if this filter would have fit, I would love it like anyone can love a fuel filter, and tell all my friends I have a Purolator Fuel Filter.

                    A:

You need to get a set of quick- disconnect tools. I prefer the plastic ones. However the aluminum type work quite well if you maintain a slight bevel on the tip for easier installation

I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle. This will have many of the locations of parts needed for a variety of repairs.

For help with your project, I recommend getting a repair manual specifically for your vehicle. It should be able to help you with detailed instructions on how to do many things.

Unless the fuel filter is held on the lines with clamps, there is a special fuel filter removal tool that you will probly need to undo the connections.
